RA-220 Remote Display Annunciator Cabinet

The RA-220 provides the cabinetry necessary to mount Remote Display Modules

Distributed Architecture

All FC-250 modules operate independently. There is no central operating system, no central point of failure. Processing power is distributed throughout the campus, increasing system survivability, eliminating home-run wiring costs while decreasing downtime due to system maintenance.

Highly Survivable

The Distributed Architecture of FxIP technology means that there is no central point of failure. Any module or group of modules can go down without impacting the existing modules still active on the system. Remote Displays that offer full system control provide the level of redundancy necessary to ensure system control, especially under emergency conditions.

The RA-220 provides the cabinetry to mount a Remote Display that can be used as another point of control or as an annunciator. A typical application would be to mount a Remote Display in a central location for system control, with the power supply, batteries and ALM safely mounted in an electrical closet.

The system Display Module is available as a Standard Display Module (SDM) and can be software configured as a Virtual Panel Module (VPM).

The SDM can be configured to be a VPM. A VPM assigns IP addresses to system modules – and there can only be one VPM per system.

The SDM provides identical functionality once it has been assigned an IP address by the VPM.

SDM’s may be added to the system within the maximum system module count of 50 modules.

The RA-220 is available in either red or beige cabinets for both the VPM and SDM.

Modules:

  • SDM Full system visibility and control (once commissioned)
RA-220P-2
P Paint Option Cabinet Color
SDM3-IP

Standard Display Module
ETP3 An ETP3 is included
  • The SDM3-IP can be configured as either an SDM3-IP or VPM

The contractor shall furnish and install, where indicated on the plans, remotely located IP-Addressable Display Modules for system control and/or system annunciation. Remote Displays shall be fully incorporated into the FxIP Fire Control system by simple CAT 5 connection. Connections shall be fully supervised, transient protected and monitored for ground faults. The combination of the Display Module and RA-220 cabinet shall be UL/ULC listed and UL/ULC listed as compatible with the Harding network fire controls. The remote cabinet shall be Harding part number RA-220 and remote IP Display Modules shall be Harding part number(s) SDM3-IP, ETP3.
